Gothic Quarter

Good for churros and hot chocolate, medieval squares and rooftop bars with cathedral views.

The Gothic Quarter is the densest part of the map and the part most worn down by the tourist trade, so choose carefully. Els 4 Gats is the Modernista cafe Picasso exhibited in, Can Culleretes has been serving Catalan food since the 18th century, and Granja Dulcinea and La Pallaresa are the two churros and hot chocolate stops. Sant Felip Neri square is quiet before ten. Skip anything near the Ramblas with a laminated photo menu.
