Montjuïc
Good for museums, gardens and a castle on the hill.
Montjuïc is a hill, which makes it a day rather than a stop. Fundació Joan Miró and the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya are the museums, the castle is at the top, and the Jardins de Mossèn Costa i Llobera is a cactus garden above the port. Poble Espanyol is a village of regional Spanish architecture, good for an hour. Terrassa Martínez is the paella lunch with the view, and the Telefèric de Montjuïc makes the climb easier.
