Good for the TV tower, two old cinemas and a rooftop pool.

Alexanderplatz is the centre of East Berlin and the least interesting square in it, so go up rather than around. The TV Tower has 360-degree views, Kino International and Babylon are the cinemas worth a ticket, and Soho House has a rooftop pool for members and guests. Zum Nußbaum does German comfort food in a historic building. Eat off the square, not on it.
