Karasuma

Good for ramen alleys, a design hotel and a long-running coffee house.

Karasuma is the street itself, and the good parts are in the alleys off it. Men-ya Yukou makes its noodles fresh daily, Mensho Takamatsu does ramen while you watch, and Wajoryomen Sugari is the tsukemen shop in an old house. KAJI KYOTO cooks over live fire, and Ace Hotel Kyoto has restaurants of its own. Inoda Coffee Main Shop is the long-running morning stop for coffee and toast, and ShinPuhKan collects boutiques and cafes around greenery.
