Good for quick noodles, gyoza and cocktails above the shopping streets.
Kawaramachi is the grid of shopping streets around Shijo, and the eating here is fast and cheap. Ichiran, Chao Chao Gyoza and Tiger Gyoza handle the quick meals, Omen does handmade udon and Sohonke Nishin-Soba Matsuba is the place for herring soba. After dark, L'Escamoteur mixes cocktails with sleight of hand and in the Moon pours drinks on a rooftop. % ARABICA and koé donuts cover the morning. Three Star Kyoto is worth ten minutes for vintage.
