Maltby Street Market is what Borough was before Borough got busy, and the Ropewalk around it is still the best hour of a London Saturday. Monmouth roasts down here, 40 Maltby Street pours the wine, and the Mayflower is by the river when you want a pub with a jetty. Midweek most of it is shut. Plan for Saturday.
