Good for curry worth the trip, a detective agency and a proper pub.

Earl's Court is where you stay when you want central London to stop hurting your wallet. Flora Indica and Thali are both better than the area's reputation, Evans & Peel makes you pitch a case to a detective before it lets you into the bar, and the King's Head is a proper pub. Not glamorous. Very usable.
