Good for a lane of taverns, okonomiyaki counters and late-night ramen.
Hozenji Yokocho is a narrow lane of taverns a minute from the Dotonbori crush, and it is the calmer way to eat the same city. Okonomiyaki Okaru and Okonomiyaki Mizuno do the pancakes, Hozenji Yamakazu grills eel under wooden beams, and Tendon Makino handles tempura rice bowls. Sakunosaku Ramen is the late stop. Honkogetsu is the seasonal tasting room, so book it ahead.
