Umeda
Good for sky-high views, a station built upwards and food under the tracks.
Umeda is Osaka's station district, built vertically. Umeda Sky Building joins two towers with a rooftop garden for the view, HEP FIVE adds a ferris wheel to its roof, and Yodobashi Camera fills several floors with electronics. Food sits in basements and food halls: Takimikoji is the nostalgic one, Sawada Shoten does spicy tantanmen, and Bar Hiramatsu pours Japanese whisky inside a mall. Give the station ten minutes more than you think to find the right exit.
