Jewish Ghetto
Good for fried artichokes, Roman-Jewish cooking and the Tiber island.
The Ghetto is where Roman-Jewish cooking lives. Nonna Betta, Casalino and Giggetto all serve it, with the fried artichokes as the dish to order, and Boccione is the tiny bakery for something sweet. Sora Margherita and Rimessa Roscioli handle pasta, and Trattoria Sora Lella sits out on Tiber Island, a short walk across the bridge. Quieter than Campo de' Fiori next door and better at lunch.
