Piazza Navona
Good for a baroque piazza, rooftop terraces and old-school Roman restaurants.
Piazza Navona is the postcard and the streets around it are the better meal. Alfredo alla Scrofa claims the fettuccine Alfredo, Pietro Valentini and Il Desiderio preso per la Coda cook Roman food on quiet side streets, and Retrobottega and Piro' take it further. Terrazza Borromini and the Hotel Raphaël rooftop give you the skyline. The Chiostro del Bramante is the calm cloister with a gallery inside, and Otherwise Bookshop stocks English books.
