Trastevere is the densest food area in the Rome data, and most of it is trattoria cooking. Ai Marmi, Dar Poeta and Ivo handle the pizza, Nannarella and Da Vittorio the pasta, and Glass Hostaria is the one for a tasting menu. Freni e Frizioni and Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fà cover the evening, and Santa Maria in Trastevere, Villa Farnesina and the Janiculum are the daytime reasons to come. Porta Portese is the Sunday flea market, so go early.
