Takeshita Street is the crush, all crepes and costume, with Kiddy Land and Laforet on the same stretch. The better trade is sneakers: atmos, BILLY'S and the Onitsuka Tiger boutiques are all within a few streets. Meiji Jingu Gyoen is the garden on the shrine grounds, with irises and a teahouse, and you will mostly have it to yourself. Skip Takeshita Street on a weekend afternoon.
