Shimokitazawa

Good for vintage floors, tiny coffee bars and a small shopping cluster.

Shimokitazawa is Tokyo's vintage district and it earns the label. Toyo Department Store stacks floors of secondhand clothes, RAGTAG and Harajuku Chicago cover the designer and 90s end, and Iroha does menswear. Bear Pond Espresso and The Mosque Coffee deal with the caffeine, and Bonus Track gathers shops, galleries and coffee in one low-rise block. Most shops do not open until late morning, so do not arrive early.
