Tsukiji

Good for the outer market, sushi for breakfast and rolled omelettes.

The wholesale market has moved to Toyosu, but the outer market stayed and it is still the place for fish before lunch. Marutake does the rolled omelettes, Kitsuneya serves gyudon before dawn, Sushizanmai never closes, and Tsukiji Sushicho is a standing sushi bar. Tsukiji Hongan-ji, the temple behind it, is worth five minutes. Go early, because most stalls wind down by early afternoon.
