Good for museums, a park with pandas and the Ameyoko market.

Ueno is museums first. The Tokyo National Museum is the largest in Japan, the National Museum of Western Art and Tokyo Bunka Kaikan share the park, and Ueno Zoo has the pandas. Ameyoko runs under the railway tracks, where you haggle for clothes, snacks and seafood. For lunch, Ramen Kamo to Negi does duck ramen and Inshotei does kaiseki beside the garden. Most museums close on Mondays.
