Good for the basilica, the campanile and coffee under the arcades.

Saint Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace and the Museo Correr surround the square, and the Campanile and the Clock Tower both let you climb for the view. Caffè Florian and Caffè Quadri are the famous cafes, priced to match. Harry's Bar, where the bellini was born, sits a few steps off the water. Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo is the quiet one, a 1400s spiral staircase hidden in a courtyard. Go early or late. By midday the square is a queue.
